Suit yourself
High fashion is no longer only a term that women reckon with. In fact, men’s fashion indulgences have gone so far ahead that a man’s single suit could be worth much more than that precious solitaire his wife sports. The Indian man is getting more brand and style conscious than ever before and to suit his tastes, international brands are lining up impressive performances.
Small wonder that brands like Boss are investing in bringing an array of suits that are understated and sophisticated with a restrained colour palette and delicate graphic touches, to the country. Though the two-button, single-breasted slim-line suit is the most popular, three-button suits and three-piece looks are also being chosen. At a price range between Rs 35,000-55,000, suits from Boss Black may be some of the less expensive options in the market.

Making babies
Making babies is increasingly becoming an ART. Thanks to lifestyle-induced infertility and late marriages, Assisted Reproductive Therapy has become the norm. So much so that ART is today a Rs. 3 billion industry in India, with over 300 clinics all over the country.
Couples in the 30-40 age group face the fertility problem. One in six couples is diagnosed as infertile. As a result ART has become a thing that these couples turn to.

Rupee madness and modern maharajahs
Today, the driving factor in lifestyle is that if you have the money, flaunt it. And Indians seem to have plenty of money to flaunt. Take Mukesh Ambani, building a vertical palace for himself in Mumbai that will rise to a height of 570 feet. Or liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya, with some 42 homes scattered across the world, 250 vintage cars, a customized Boeing 727 and two other corporate jets, and three yachts.
No event provides Indians greater opportunity to show off their affluence than weddings. Weddings have turned into extravaganzas, with rich - and even middle class - families competing with each other to put on the flashiest show in town. The clothes, the jewelry, the gifts, the menu, the entertainment, the locale, even the guest list drip with ostentation, the showier the better.

The Mango Autumn collection launched in August this year has clothes designed for the modern independent urban woman who has an understanding in fashion. Globus’ young collection dazzles with colours from the bold to earthy, novel silhouettes and cuts and myriad textures and prints.
