Metallic hues to rule this winter
Gold, silver, zinc, tin, lead and mercury - these are not just the names of metals but of the hues that will be in vogue in the next autumn-winter season.
Using fabrics like satin, wool and supple leather, crafted dresses of varied styles and designs - baggy, off shoulder, bubble - tastefully matched with fitted jackets with dramatic collars will be in vogue. During summers, soft, flowing fabrics and pastel shades are the best choice. However, winters are all about less detailing and hard and solid colours like black and mid-night blue. This time a lot of metallic shades would be in vogue.

Smoking is cool, say youngsters in India
India's future is going up in smoke if experts are to be believed. People think that if the movie stars can smoke, why can't they? They also feel that it is also because of peer pressure and they look cool.
Then there is surrogate branding. ITC for instance, discontinued selling tobacco under the Wills brand and started selling clothes and accessories, now even sponsoring fashion shows. A branding, which for decades was identified with cigarettes, now continues to find visibility in a new avatar. And then there are events that boost the company's corporate profile without openly pushing the product.

Blooming fad defines floral fashion
Bold and bright, sweet and feminine, floral prints and flower-inspired designs dominate summer fashion. Refresh your wardrobe with floral clothing items, as checks and stripes are passé in men’s fashion. Metro sexual men have let down their hair.
THINK FLOWER petals, delicate sprigs and bold bohemian blooms, all floating here n’ there. Powder pinks, jarring fuchsias, flaming oranges, leafy greens, and muddy browns -- rhapsodies of varying hues. Floating, fluttering fabrics, lush landscapes and floral bouquets. Well, that’s the fashion world’s current darling bud – floral prints. And while women are climbing up the stylo-meters with all things flowery, can men just sit back?
