Editorial

We started off with the Retail Newsletter in September, 2006, and had more fun than we imagined we would. Struck by wanderlust, we moved on ..to create this Travel newsletter. As a kickoff we have a FREE download of Chillibreeze's recent eBook: Travel Delhi.

As with several other sectors, India is set to really take off as a travel destination. You might say, and rightly so, that India has always attracted its fair share of visitors. But we are talking here of a shift (significant in terms of revenues they bring in!) from backpacking hippies (bless their souls!) in search of themselves to the suit clad businessman in search of cheaper outsourcing options; from the stray "thinking out of the box" individuals to those in search of "very much in fashion" holistic healing.

And poised as India is on the brink of serious travel success, what is she doing about it? Private sector is pulling all stops to ensure that the sector crosses over to triumph - with multi-price point hotels and online travel agencies, state-of-the-art medical and healthcare facilities and holistic healing spas, not to mention the complete range of transportation options, from all-frills business class to no-frills value travel. The Government, for its part, has set about the unenviable task of improving infrastructure and preserving heritage sites with religious zeal.

We, for our part, are watching, tracking, and bringing to you all the news there is on this wondrous journey into the future.

  Medical Tourism

India is making inroads in this happening field, with patients coming from around the world to be 'healed at half price'. As with the Ites sector, they all flocked to India for the cost benefits; what would get them to come back for more will be quality.
