Shyam Telelink, the telecom service provider in Rajasthan, has sold out a majority stake to the Russian telecom major - Sistema group. Shyam had been earlier hived off from the parent group – Shyam Telecom. Shyam has around 0.3 mn subscriber base and runs fixed line and wireless terminal access network using CDMA technology across Rajasthan state. Source: Business Standard
  • MIH India Pvt. Ltd, is in talks with Burrp.com, the local listings and review site, for acquiring a stake in the company. Burrp has not yet confirmed the news. Burrp has already received angel funding and has been in talks with several potential investors. MIH India is the Indian subsidiary of Naspers, the South Africa-headquartered media conglomerate.   • Noida-based Scicom Technologies Ltd., has been acquired by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). SAIC is a leading technical services and solutions company headquartered at U.S.A. The Angel investors, Saurabh Srivastav and Mohit Goyal made an exit from Scicom through this acquisition. Scicom is a provider of scientific, engineering and technical solutions. It was founded in 1996 by Dr. Indranil Chakravarty as a joint venture between IIS Infotech and XOX Corporation.   • Hyderabad based Sai Advantium has sold off 18.34% stake to Sequoia Capital India. Sai was founded in 1999 by and today boasts capabilities in drug discovery services and drug development needs. The investment by Sequoia is to the tune of USD 12.5 mn. Source: Vccircle.com
