• According to the recommendations issued by a policy group; endorsed by over 100 business leaders, politicians and academics; Japan should leverage India’s expertise in IT and financial sector. The recommendations suggested to the Japanese government that Japanese financial institutions should develop open IT systems and outsource part of their business to Indian software companies. According to the report, Japan should look at investments in upcoming and promising sectors including processed food, pharmaceuticals, retail markets, real estate, cosmetics etc.

The report by the policy group applauds India’s expertise, high English communication skills, and increased awareness of Intellectual Property Rights. The report suggests manufacturing customized products that fit the local circumstances in India and to increase the number of Indian specialists in Japanese government offices, corporations, universities and research institutes to reduce language barriers. • Skype, the voice over Internet protocol Service Company, is facing immense talent crunch in Estonia and is eyeing countries like India to fill the gap. Estonian laws do not allow employment to anybody outside the European Union and e-bay is lobbying with the government to relax the hiring laws.
