Editorial

The long awaited ICREAR study allayed some fears of the unorganized sector, which the study indicates will survive and hold sway at least until 2013. An inclusive approach by organized retailers will go a long way to soothe ruffled feathers and understandable fears.

Retail majors announced big plans this month for the year ahead. Sectors that are seeing a lot of action span the spectrum, ranging from food and grocery to luxury, apparel & accessories to wellness.

After a poor first showing, selling through DTH and home televisions are attempting round two. With better research and targeted marketing, this could well be a viable selling option.
