Editorial
It has been a roller-coaster month for retail – news of public protests coupled with festival shopping frenzy makes for an interesting read. This trend promises to spill into October as well.
Genuine fear and concern over loss of livelihood clashes with theories – that of survival of the fittest and another that says ethically, competition must be amongst equals. We say, every argument has its validity, and this turbulence is natural in the evolution of every sector that grows as fast as retail in India has.
Meanwhile, do continue to contribute to our blog, which has a section on consumer feedback. We welcome you to post your experiences – both good and bad. We plan to feature the pick of these posts in our newsletter soon.
