India: Government plans $2 million IT spend

The Indian railways and postal departments have huge IT outlays but there is skepticism about commitment of the Indian IT majors once the recessionary phase is through. Industry watchers are of the view than Indian IT companies need to focus on the domestic market as well, taking cue from IBM and the like.
