InstaColl is attempting to build a suite of products that bridge the gap between the web and the desktop. The focus is to develop a ‘workable model that merges the capabilities of mainstream desktop applications (such as the Microsoft Office suite) with the collaborative nature of web-based applications’.

The company claims to have built simple, affordable services for sharing documents and applications over the Internet. Funding 

Instacoll secured funding of an undisclosed amount from Softbank Corp, Japan in March 2007.
