The total market for IT applications in healthcare is expected to touch $300 million by 2010. Indian hospitals take the IT ladder to scale up

The medical tourism industry will be a $2billion business in 2012. The health care industry is adopting state of the art diagnostic techniques and integrating various branches with relevant IT applications. Lead hospitals like Wockhardt and Manipal will be spending 10-15 crores on IT applications.

According to Springboard Research, India has the fastest growing health care IT market in Asia with an expected growth rate of 22 per cent. The total market for IT applications in the health care industry in India was $149.7 million in 2006 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.1 to reach $332.8 million in 2010.

Joseph Kaduthanam, Managing Director, Aymex Services, who has developed this portal has called for increased role of the government in promoting ayurveda medical tourism and financing investments in ayurvedic hospitals in villages.
