The programme will cater to the needs of students aspiring to get into professional courses and who want to improve their performance in the CET and COMEDK exams by sharpening their comprehension skills, learning alternate methods to solving problems and answering questions quickly with minimum errors. The intensive CET course will be conducted from 28th March 2009 to 26th April 2009 at the BASE Basavanagudi, Centre. In this programme, the students would be attending classroom discussions based on the syllabi as required for CET and COMEDK. They will be provided with printed courseware containing learning content and assessment modules. They also take a series of mock tests to improve their performance and to boost their confidence to face the exams. “Admission to the programme will be on first-come first-served basis. The students opting for this programme will get the opportunity to benefit from the expertise BASE has in training students to face national level competitive examinations for nearly two decades. They will also have access to the innovative course material compiled by BASE,” said Dr. H.S. Nagaraja, Director and founder of BASE. “After the board exams, the students get about 30 days to prepare for CET. During this period they need to focus on improving their performance. BASE had recently announced new centres at Rajajinagar and Yelahanka in Bangalore and at Udupi. With the new additions, the number of BASE centres in Karnataka has gone up to 11 . BASE which is one of the most trusted and successful training institutes in Karnataka, functions on the lines of “Be ahead with sustained excellence.” About BASE BASE started functioning in the year 1991 from its present premises in Basavanagudi in Bangalore. It was started by Dr. H.S.Nagaraja with the intention of increasing the number of students from Karnataka gaining entrance into IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and NITs (National Institute of Technology). From a modest strength of 4 faculty members and 3 students, BASE has now grown to include 140 teaching faculty and multiple programmes for students from class 5 to 2 PU/Class12. BASE trains students to get through the preliminary examinations of world renowned centres of learning such as the IITs of India. BASE has consistently performed since its inception both in terms of growth and an astounding share in the number of BASE students gaining entrance into the IITs and NITs. It is a proud fact that each year, the number of BASE students qualifying to the IITs is more than that of all other institutions in Karnataka put together.
