Progress Software Corporation appoints Eric Lim as the new MD for Asia

Bangalore, June 4, 2008: Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS), a leading provider of application infrastructure software develops, deploys, integrates and manages business applications. The company has appointed Mr. Eric Lim as the new Managing Director for Asia. Lim will be responsible for all aspects of operations including sales, services, support, marketing and education in India, Southeast Asia, Greater China and Korea.

Prior to joining Progress, Lim was the general manager for Asia with Software AG where he led their webMethods business. He has held various management positions with Yahoo, TIBCO Software and IBM in South and Southeast Asia. With a career in Information Technology sector spanning over 23 years, Lim has held a variety of senior roles in software development, product development, sales and professional services.

He was awarded a British High Commission Foreign and Commonwealth post graduate scholarship and holds a Master of Science degree in artificial intelligence from University of Essex, United Kingdom.
