Cognizant to organize TransITion '09 in Bangalore on March 7

Bangalore, Feb 25, 2009 - As part of its efforts to bridge the industry-academia gap, for the second year in a row in Bangalore, Cognizant will organize an innovative inter-collegiate tech fest in Bangalore on Saturday, March 07, 2009. Titled TransITion '09, the one-day event will provide pre-final year engineering and MCA students with a forum to test and enhance their skills in a competitive atmosphere.

While providing them with an opportunity to see the latest in the world of technology and business, the event will also seek to inculcate in them a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship before they step into the corporate world.

TransITion '09 will also offer a platform for the young minds to interact with industry professionals and business leaders, thus getting valuable insights into the skills necessary to grow into successful professionals.

Teams from leading engineering colleges in and around Bangalore will vie for the top honors in contests such as tech paper presentations, ultimate techie, general quiz and a movie-making contest. With loads of prizes—including digicams and iPods—up for grabs, the event is expected to draw top-notch technical talent. The students from different colleges will also get to pit their wits against their peers in a “Stall Design Contest”.

To be held at St. Johns Auditorium, Koramangla, Opp BDA complex, Bangalore, TransITion '09 will also allow the students and the industry to come together on a common platform to understand each other’s needs better and forge a win-win relationship.
