The population of India crossed the one billion mark in on May 11, 2000. The country’s current population as of 2008 is growing at an estimated 1.578%. The life expectancy at birth for the total population is 69.25 years. For the male population it is 66.87 years, while for the female population it stands higher at 71.9 years according to 2008 estimates. This presentation will serve as a great teaching tool. Use it as a standalone map, for a teaching class or to aid a quiz presentation.
