Easy Bill – A Consumer Report

Easy Bill, the retail based bill payment service by the Hero group is my choice as the most convenient way to pay my bills.

I can do it online but then why do I choose the Easy Bill model?

The reasons:

• Online transactions are difficult with a dial up connection I have.
• Transacting online involves dedicating time and effort towards the task
• Payment at the utility office means traveling more than 10 kms
• Its fast and efficient – and the receipt is available right away. I just need to file it.
• I know my chemist and the grocery man- both of whom have the payment kiosk. It’s a good way to finish your shopping chores and build human connections.
• I can pay bills for Tata Indicom, Airtel and BESCOM at one place (I understand several companies and utility service providers have tie ups) also)
• Transaction fee of Rs 5/ bill seems a decent price to pay for convenience.
