Reliance Fresh
On Saturday, March 1st, an advertisement was issued by the Reliance Fresh that on every purchase of Rs 1000 or more the customer is entitled for Free gift of Tawa (a device for roasting chapattis, costing about Rs 325). On Sunday 2nd March 2008, I visited the Reliance fresh outlet at SCF 62-63-64 phase 7, Mohali and purchased goods worth Rs 1121 (vide C M N o 0147 dt 02.03.2008) But to my utmost surprise, the customer care official told me that Tawas were out of stock. They noted my address and phone number and promised to call in a day or two. When I did not receive any call from them I visited again and every time I was asked to come again. On Monday 10.03.2008 they refused to honor the commitment and said the scheme was closed and I cannot be given the Tawa. They also treated me very roughly and told me “Kya bar bar tawa mangne aa jate ho” ( why do you come again and again asking for TWA). It seemed like I was asking something which was not due to me. I just want it to bring the notice of higher authorities of Reliance Fresh so that they can train the staff to be more customer friendly. Report from: Daljeet Singh
