The wettest places in India are indicated by the different colors used in this map. Red is used for the areas with predominant rainfall, while 0-20 cm is indicated by fuchsia. You will notice a speck of red in the North East section of India. This is Cherrapunjee – the area which receives the highest amount of rainfall in the world.
